Pan Borneo Highway projects from Telok Melano to Miri expected to be completed by Q3 2023

KUCHING, March 31: Pan Borneo Highway (LPB) projects stretching from Telok Melano to Miri are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2023.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Work Minister Datuk Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi said progress for the 786km project involving 11 work packages has reached 91 per cent completion as of December 2022.

He said this when answering a question from Lubok Antu MP Roy Angau Gingkoi during at the Dewan Rakyat, on Thursday (March 30).

Nanta said, as of December 2022, 15 work packages implemented for Phase 1 of the Sabah LPB Project with an estimated distance of 706km are also currently at 73 per cent, and expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2025.

He also said the implementation of the Sabah and Sarawak LPB Project will improve and complete the road network for the region, including connecting with Brunei Darussalam and Kalimantan Indonesia. — DayakDaily
