KUCHING, June 17: Former Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof says the proposed Pan Borneo Highway project is 20 per cent completed overall.

Twelve packages were awarded under development projects and another 11 packages were awarded under an allocation specifically for the highway, he explained.

ā€œFor Sarawak, all the packages have been awarded, and the agreements have been signed. Overall, the projects are 20 per cent completed,ā€ he told reporters at his Hari Raya open house at CIDB Convention Centre here today.

Fadillah hoped all infrastructure projects in the state that have been approved before the change of government would continue under the Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad administration.

ā€œThey should be continued because these projects are for the betterment of the people,ā€ said Fadillah, who is also Petra Jaya Member of Parliament.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Openg joined thousands of well-wishers to call on Fadillah today. ā€” DayakDaily
