KUCHING, Aug 10: Inspired by Hoan Gallery’s art pieces, Sarawakian chef Achang Libat will be serving exclusive six-course dinners at La Promenade Mall this August.

With culinary skills acquired in Sydney, Chef Achang who is mixed Kayan-Lun Bawang heritage will present a series of ambitious dinners prepared with locally sourced ingredients, only for six nights.

Every Friday and Saturday, from Aug 19 to Sept 3, Chef Achang’s artsy and palatable dishes are only available for 20 diners maximum each night.

“Each dish began with a sketch. Some pieces made me think of new plating styles, others about flavours and textures. Serving the food in the gallery heightens the experience,” he said in a statement.

Before this ‘Dine with Art’ collab with La Promenade Mall, he pulled off a similarly spectacular dining experience — ‘Dine with Clay’, a collaboration with Sarawak potters and clay artists.
