KUCHING, Jan 16: His Royal Highness, the Regent of Pahang, Tengku Mahkota Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, pays a visit to the Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros) office at Icom Square today.
According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Tengku Hassanal arrived at 9.20am accompanied by Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni and greeted by Petros chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Hamid Bugo and other staff members.
During his visit, he was briefed by Petros chief executive officer (CEO) Dato Janin Girie on carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) in Sarawak.
Later at 11.09am, he visited Sarawak Energy Berhad (Sarawak Energy) at Jalan Isthmus where Minister of Utilities and Telecommunication Sarawak Dato’ Sri Julaihi Narawi and Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Dato’ Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah were there to greet him.
Also present were Utilities and Telecommunication Sarawak Deputy Ministers Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi and Datuk Liwan Lagang, Dr Hazland, and SEB staff members.
In the afternoon, Tengku Hassanal is scheduled to visit the Borneo Cultures Museum (BCM), to be followed by a State banquet, which Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and other guests of honour will also attend. — DayakDaily
