KUCHING, May 18: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) has urged the owner of an abandoned truck parked at the roadside of Jalan Pelabuhan, opposite Kuching Port Authority (KPA), to promptly remove the vehicle from the public area within two weeks.

In a statement today, MBKS warned that failure to comply will result in the truck being impounded by the council.
The truck in question is a Hino truck bearing the registration number MA7083Q, which has been left unattended at the roadside for an extended period.

MBKS has also issued a notice under the Local Authorities (Cleanliness) By Laws, 1999, and securely affixed it to the vehicle, emphasising the need for its removal.

“If the owners fail to comply with the removal notice, the council will assume that the vehicle is considered waste and we will take necessary action to remove the vehicle from the location and have it disposed of accordingly.

“No claims (over the vehicle) will be entertained once the two-week deadline expires,” MBKS added.

MBKS reiterating its appeals for the understanding and cooperation of the truck owner in adhering to the notice and promptly removing the vehicle from the public area. ā€” DayakDaily
