KUCHING, July 3: More than 2,000 members from Sarawak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) and Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) get their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in a joint vaccination exercise.

According to SCCI and SBF president Datuk Abang Abdul Karim Tun Abang Openg in a statement, aside from SCCI and Sheda, other participating members from SBD are Sarawak ICT Association (SICTA) and Sarawak Entrepreneur Association (SEA).

“We are pleased that through our joint effort, a total of over two thousand members will get their first Covid-19 vaccine dose this weekend,” he said.

Some of the association members are seen waiting for their turn to be vaccinated with the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

Abdul Karim noted the exercise will see about 900 members getting vaccinated daily during the three-day exercise, from July 2 until July 4, 2021.

“We are grateful to The Spring for this vaccination centre and we are glad SCCI is able to do our part in this CSR (corporate social responsibility) activity for our members and for the community in accelerating the State immunisation plan towards achieving herd immunity,” he added.
