KUCHING, March 31: Over 1,000 guests attended the Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2025 open house hosted by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at Astana Negeri today.
According to TVS, the event became livelier with the attendance of people from different walks of life dressed in traditional attire, adding vibrancy to the Aidilfitri celebration.
During the event, Wan Junaidi not only welcomed the guests but also distributed ‘duit raya’, spreading joy and happiness among the attendees.
Meanwhile, the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, was also present with State leaders to commemorate the occasion.
The event featured a variety of traditional dishes, such as mee jawa, rendang, satay, ketupat, and more, prepared by local vendors.
The Aidilfitri celebration in Sarawak showcased the spirit of unity and harmony among the ethnic communities in the region, reflecting the cultural diversity of its people. — DayakDaily
