KUCHING, Jan 16: Only two individuals are allowed in one vehicle in Sebauh district, the only Covid-19 orange zone currently in Sarawak.
Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) said the Bintulu Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) has decided to set up blockades at one of the roads and rivers of Sebauh in efforts to curb the widespread of Covid-19 of late.
Prior to this on Wednesday (Jan 13), Sebauh District Officer William Manggoi had conducted a survey on road and river blockades in the district at Jalan Sebauh-Bintulu and Sungai Kemena.
“In ensuring that the public movement control is implemented, blockades have been set up at the Sebauh intersection and the riverbanks of Sungai Kemena to control the movements in and out of Sebauh.
“Thus, for residents and the public who have businesses within Sebauh district, only two individuals are allowed in one vehicle.
“Meanwhile, for the Sebauh community working outside of Sebauh who needs to travel in and out daily, they are required to show their working pass and a letter from their employers,” said Ukas in a statement today. — DayakDaily
