MIRI, Oct 5: A 49-year-old oil palm plantation supervisor was killed while two other men aged 31 and 38, escaped unharmed in a collision involving two four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles at Jalan Bukit Peninjau on Wednesday (October 4).
The impact caused the 4WD vehicle driven by the deceased to skid and crash into a ravine.
According to Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the accident happened when the oil palm supervisor was in the process of overtaking.
He said the incident happened at around 4.30pm.
“He was pronounced dead at the crash scene by medical personnel from Bekenu Health Clinic,” Alexson stated in a statement today.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
