KUCHING, March 14: Two houses were completely razed and two others badly damaged in a morning fire at Kampung Tabuan Melayu here today.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at around 9.48am.
“The fire started from one of the houses and quickly spread to the other three units. Two of the houses were razed 100 per cent, while the other two houses were 60 per cent damaged,” the department said in a statement.
The incident saw one occupant suffering injuries when he was trying to save items from his burning house.
The injured victim was later sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for immediate treatment. Firefighters managed to put the fire under control. — DayakDaily
