SRI AMAN, Sept 18: A woman died, and two men were injured in an accident that occurred at the Lubok Antu junction here today.
In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department, firefighters from the Betong station were deployed after receiving a call at 1.35pm.
The accident involved a car and a lorry travelling from Betong to Sri Aman. The lorry attendant and car driver—both males—were injured, with the attendant sustaining severe injuries. The lorry driver was not injured.
The deceased, a 33-year-old woman identified as Amelia Cornellius Ahkim, was trapped in the front passenger seat and was pronounced dead by a medical officer from the Health Ministry after she was extricated.
The two injured men were brought to the hospital, while the body of the woman was handed over to the police. — DayakDaily
