KUCHING, Feb 18: There is no truth to a recent news report that former Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) deputy president Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun has been talking on behalf of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), said a reliable source.
“We can’t talk about PSB yet because our new name has not been approved by the Registrar of Societies (RoS), what more to say about Datuk Entulu talking on our behalf,” the source told DayakDaily today.
During its Extraordinary Delegates’ Conference (EDC) last year, the United People’s Party (UPP) passed a resolution to change its name to PSB.
Recently, it was reported that Entulu, a former federal minister, had gone to the ground to promote PSB and telling people that the party would contest in areas it was confident of winning.
At press time, Entulu could not be reached for comments.
Meanwhile, PRS president Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing, when contacted, described Entulu as a “very presumptuous” person.
“Even before PSB is registered with the RoS, and he hasn’t been accepted (into the party), he already assumes the role of leadership in PSB,” he remarked.
Masing reiterated that Entulu and several others were sacked from PRS prior to the run-up to the last general election (in 2018) for valid reasons.
“I hope PSB knows him well enough not to take him and gang for granted. Please note that Entulu and gang had applied to join PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat), but somehow they didn’t succeed.
“So, PSB should take it into account when considering Entulu and gang,” said Masing. — DayakDaily
