KUCHING, Feb 18: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) continues to hear the pleas of the people and is acting upon them promptly.

The latest case involves clearing blocked drains, road resurfacing and improvement works around 7th Mile Bazaar and a new coat of paint for faded road signages.

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau chief Wilfred Yap, in a press release today, said during his regular walkabouts around Kota Sentosa constituency recently, he was approached by residents and business community there.

He said they asked for his assistance to request Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) to carry out road resurfacing and improvement works to certain sections of the road there and for maintenance work to clear blocked drains as well as repainting works for faded road signages.

“Following the request for assistance, the matter was immediately communicated to MPP, and the problem is currently being solved systematically by the council’s engineering department and their road maintenance team,” assured Yap.

He said he would continue to follow up and monitor the clearing, improvement, resurfacing and repainting works on the roads and drains until all the works are completed to the satisfaction of all parties for the benefit of the community of 7th Mile Bazaar.

“SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone facing problems or who come across problems of public interest but does not know how to deal with it,” he said.

He said anyone requiring assistance could call SUPP Public Complaint’s mobile number at 016-7797688 or 082-246999 or go direct to SUPP Head Office to request for assistance. — DayakDaily
