SUBIS, April 4: There are 10 fresh faces among the 32 sworn in as Subis District councillors here yesterday (April 3).
Subis District Officer Norlila Ulis who is the Council’s chairperson led the swearing-in ceremony witnessed by Sarawak Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil and Sarawak Deputy Minister of Women, Children and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Rosey Yunus.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), all the appointments are effective from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2025.
Penguang in his speech, urged the Subis District Council members to nurture integrity and corruption-free values throughout their service.
“As a link between the community and the government, the members also need to carry out their duties and responsibilities with full commitment as a team to ensure the well-being of the local community,” he stated. — DayakDaily
