KUCHING, Dec 5: The Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC) must operate through collective strength and cohesive decision-making, with no room for isolated or solo decisions, especially with Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026) approaching.

In a Facebook post, MOTAC Minister Dato Sri Tiong King Sing said that every step must be anchored in good governance, Madani values, and the interests of the people and the nation.

“The year 2026 will be an important one for the country with VM2026. I am confident that everyone in MOTAC will be able to carry out this responsibility with full accountability and prove that we can contribute significantly to economic growth, the well-being of the people, and the nation’s image on the world stage,” he said, following his attendance at an appreciation ceremony for MOTAC in Sepang on Dec 3.

He further encouraged MOTAC personnel to move forward with renewed spirit, strengthened enforcement, enhanced service quality, and ensure the safety and positive experience of every tourist visiting Malaysia.

“Thank you to all MOTAC personnel for your dedication. We work as one team, for a more advanced, peaceful, and prosperous Malaysia,” he said. — DayakDaily
