KUCHING, March 30: There is no problem with Sarawak on the Central Database Hub (Padu), says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar said so far, the number of Sarawakians who have registered with Padu is positive.

“The discussion (with the Sarawak government on the matter) is going well. We received some concerns (on Padu), and we handled them well.

“So—no problem,” he told reporters when met after attending the Bebuka Puasa Madani Programme held at Al-Mutaqqin Mosque in Kota Samarahan today.

He added that there is nothing to be discussed and that all the issues are being appropriately addressed. – DayakDaily

On March 25, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali voiced concern about Padu that apart from information on economic and financial standing, there is no need to disclose or expose personal and private profiles to determine the eligibility of targeted subsidy recipients. — DayakDaily
