No new Covid-19 cases for first time in Sarawak since March 13

KUCHING, May 4: Sarawak today recorded no new positive cases of Covid-19 for the first time since the first reported cases on March 13.

However, 61 cases of persons under investigation (PUI) were recorded, while 95 cases are awaiting laboratory results, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).


“There are 19 recovered patients and discharged from hospitals today. Out of the 19 cases, 18 are from the Sarawak General Hospital and one in Miri Hospital,” the committee said in a statement.

To date, Sarawak has recorded 17 deaths and 523 positive cases, with 301 patients recovered and discharged from the hospitals. — DayakDaily
