No Covid-19 infections in Sarawak today, four patients recover

KUCHING, Dec 9: Four more patients have recovered while no new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Sarawak today.

As such, the state tally of positive cases was maintained at 1,072.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, revealed that four patients have recovered and have been discharged from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).


This increased the total number of recovered cases in Sarawak to 1,041 or 97.11 per cent of total positive cases so far.

A total of 12 patients are still receiving treatment in hospitals in the state with nine in SGH and three in Miri Hospital.

There are four active clusters remaining in Kuching namely Besi Cluster (12 cases), Jalan Abell Cluster (15 cases), Greenhill Cluster (91 cases) and Wisma Saberkas Cluster (44 cases).

Kuching and Serian remained as yellow zones with a total of three local cases reported in the last 14 days.

Sarawak also recorded 39 more persons-under-investigation (PUI) with one case pending laboratory test result.

There were also 164 more persons-under-surveillance (PUS) registered into identified hotels to undergo quarantine.

As of today, there were a total number of 4,527 individuals undergoing quarantine in 40 hotels and quarantine facilities throughout the state. — DayakDaily
