No Covid-19 cases reported, 10 in treatment: SDMC

KUCHING, July 2: Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) disclosed that Sarawak recorded zero positive Covid-19 cases today, with the death toll remaining at 17.

SDMC in a statement said that as of today, the total cumulative positive Covid-19 cases in the state also remains at 571 cases.

“The total number of recovered and discharged positive Covid-19 cases in the state also remains at 544 cases, which is 95.27 per cent.

“A total of 44 new Patient Under Investigation (PUI) was reported, with five others still waiting for laboratory test results, while 10 other individuals are currently receiving their treatment in the hospital’s isolation ward, ” it said.

On another note, SDMC said a total of 633 Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) compliance enforcement teams, consisting of various government enforcement agencies, have been deployed to monitor the situation on the ground.

The statement said as of today, 1,953 business premises, including government office buildings, religious centers, public places, restaurants, markets, construction sites, and many others, throughout the state have been inspected and monitored.

“Today, six roadblock in five district was conducted in conjunction with the Op Benteng, which is namely in Lundu (2), Bau (1), Serian (1), Sri Aman (1) and Lubok Antu (1), and a total of 1,221 vehicles has been inspected,” the statement read.—DayakDaily.
