KUCHING, Aug 12: Nine Lodge International School students have a school record by achieving straight A’s for the Cambridge International A-Level Exams for the May and June 2021 exam series.
Lodge International School principal Markus Gatuman in a statement (Aug 11), congratulated the students who have risen to the occasion and shown a great deal of initiative and drive in achieving the excellent results.
“We at Lodge International School have done our best during this challenging time to support our students in all areas, and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” he said.
Markus noted the school’s students have gone on to study at prestigious top universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Hong Kong University, University of Melbourne and many more.
“The school also has a holistic programme including student involvement in extracurricular activities such as the globally recognised ‘International Award’, and an extensive alumni network to connect students to internships of all kinds from law to multimedia,” he added.
In total, close to 35 per cent of the student group achieved straight A/A*. Among the subjects that the students excelled in were Sciences, Mathematics and Humanities.
Meanwhile, Head of A Levels for Lodge International School, Frances Tan, conveyed her gratitude to the parents of the students for their support.
“This is a tremendous improvement, and is only possible with the hard work put in by our students and teachers.
“We also extend our gratitude to our parents, who have given us their support and trust during a challenging time. We are very proud of our students’ achievements,” she said.
