KUCHING, May 19: ‘Ngabang’ (visiting) and open houses, be it indoors or outdoors, are allowed for the upcoming Hari Gawai Dayak celebration.

In updated standard operating procedures (SOPs), the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) said though allowed, visitors are encouraged to keep their face masks on when not eating or drinking.

It also gave the green light to pre-Gawai celebrations, prayer ceremonies at houses of worship at full capacity, and gatherings after the prayers.

Unifor, however, warned that individuals who are symptomatic or test positive for Covid-19 are not permitted to attend any gatherings during this time.
