Newly upgraded Taman Selera Muhibbah more OKU-friendly, to offer free Wi-Fi

SIBU, March 2: Customers dining at the newly upgraded Taman Selera Muhibbah can enjoy free Wi-Fi coverage, courtesy of Sibu Municipal Council.

According to Standing Committee for Market and Petty Traders chairman Councillor Albert Tiang, the free Wi-Fi will commence in April.

The two-decade old food court, was upgraded to make it more OKU (persons with disability) and mother-friendly.

“The market will start operation on March 2. The grand opening is scheduled for March 17 and will be officiated at by Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Deputy Minister Michael Tiang,” he said.

Albert said the market will operate on a self-service basis where customers will do their own ordering, collection of food and drinks, and tray returns.

“There will be 50 stalls comprising 17 drink stalls and 33 food stalls. This time we will have a centralised waste water management system. The design of the building has given well consideration to zero-obstruction access for the elderly and OKU,” he said. — DayakDaily
