New Zealand eyes collaboration with Sarawak in education, energy, F&B sectors

KUCHING, March 18: New Zealand is seeking to explore collaboration opportunities with Sarawak to further strengthen bilateral relations, specifically in the fields of education, energy, and food and beverages (F&B).

According to TVS, New Zealand High Commissioner to Malaysia, Michael Walsh, said this during a courtesy visit to Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.

“Our discussions focused on the importance of education and energy, including various energy resources and their roles.

“Additionally, we also discussed aspects of food and beverages, as well as the similarities we have and how we can complement each other in these areas,” he said after the courtesy visit.

This is Walsh’s first visit to Sarawak after receiving his Letter of Appointment as Foreign Representative to Malaysia at the Istana Negara in January. — DayakDaily
