KUCHING, June 24: Patients in need of dentures at Kota Sentosa Health Clinic can now expect faster and more hygienic service following the contribution of a new water boiler by Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap.

According to a press release, the dental unit had faced significant disruption after its previous water boiler broke down.

“The dental team at the clinic had earlier highlighted to Yap that their existing water boiler had malfunctioned, causing significant inconvenience and delays, particularly in the making of dentures for patients.

“The absence of a functioning boiler forced the staff to resort to boiling water using kettles — an inefficient and time-consuming workaround that affected the speed and hygiene of the denture fabrication process,” the press release stated.

Recognising the urgency of the situation and its impact on patient care, Yap responded swiftly by donating a new Berjaya Wall-Mounted Water Boiler with a 21-litre capacity, equipped with auto-refill and auto temperature control features.

The new water boiler enables the dental unit to resume full operations, providing a reliable and continuous supply of hot water essential for cleaning, wax processing, and other denture-making procedures.

“I was informed that patients requiring dentures were being affected due to the faulty equipment.

“As their elected representative, it is my duty to assist where and when I can to ensure essential healthcare services continue smoothly.

“I will continue to do my part in supporting our local clinics and government healthcare workers who serve the people of Kota Sentosa every day,” Yap was quoted as saying.

Yap’s contribution reflects his ongoing commitment to supporting public healthcare facilities and being responsive to the practical needs of the Kota Sentosa community.

He reiterated his dedication to working closely with government agencies and frontline service providers to improve essential services and infrastructure for the people. — DayakDaily
