KUCHING, Dec 28: Local residents and busines community of Kota Sentosa commercial area can now enjoy a safer and more convenient pedestrian walkway to Olive Garden Recreational Park, following the on-schedule completion of an upgrade project.
Kota Sentosa Assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin shared in a social media post that the completion of the RM150,000 project was a meaningful gift for the upcoming 2025 New Year.
The initiative, funded under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), was carried out by K.K.A Enterprise with construction began on Sept 25 and was successfully completed on Dec 27.
Yap emphasized that the project fulfilled urgent requests from residents and local traders for better pedestrian access.
“The successful completion of this RTP project demonstrates my commitment to enhancing public spaces and facilities, especially for senior citizens who visit the park for exercise and community bonding,” he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) for their professional oversight throughout the construction and thanked local residents for their patience.
Beyond enhancing amenities, the project reflects Yap’s ongoing dedication to fostering a people-friendly and progressive environment in the area. — DayakDaily
