New Sri Aman Bomba chief pays courtesy call on Betong Resident

BETONG, Aug 20: Betong Resident Friday Belik received a courtesy call from a team of Sarawak Bomba Zone 3 Sri Aman officers yesterday.

The delegation was led by new Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Zone 3 Sri Aman chief PgB Ramlan Marajan, together with Bomba Zone 3 head of fire and safety TPgB Di-Hata Gobel, Betong fire station chief PPgB Vincent Baling Yabi and operations officer PBK I Henry Jugah.

“The purpose of the visit was to discuss further cooperation between the two agencies particularly on fire safety measures in rural areas, public awareness programmes and Enforcement Act 341.


We also briefed Friday on the area profile that falls under under Zone 3 and the latest development of our Betong fire station in terms of operational functions and services,” Ramlan disclosed in a statement.

In return, the firefighters were briefed on the development and eco-system of Betong division by Friday.

Ramlan also assured Friday that they will remain committed in serving the local communities at their highest level based on their knowledge of the profession. — DayakDaily
