
KUCHING, Aug 23: A new Covid-19 cluster dubbed the Nansang Tugong Cluster has emerged in Pakan, involving a total of 51 individuals.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today, said the community cluster comprised residents of a local longhouse located at the Nansang Tugong area in Pakan, Sarikei.
“From the total of 62 individuals screened, 51 of them were found positive for Covid-19, including the index case, while 11 others were negative,” it said.
According to the committee, the Nansang Tugong Cluster reported a total of 45 new cases today.
“All of the positive individuals from the cluster were brought to the Sarikei Hospital and the Quarantine and Low-Risk Patient treatment centres (PKRCs) in the district for isolation and treatment,” it added. — DayakDaily
