KUCHING, May 17: The Sarawak Health Department has declared a new Covid-19 cluster in Kuching district, involving a resort at Jalan Sultan Tengah in Santubong.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today announced that the cluster was detected after six cases turned out positive, including two foreigners.
To-date, a total of 27 individuals were tested and 21 were found negative.
According to the committee, all positive cases were referred to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and quarantine at low-risk patients treatment centre (PKRC) under Kuching district.
Meanwhile, SDMC added that 83 Covid-19 clusters remain active in Sarawak, with 11 clusters recording an increase of 86 new positive cases. — DayakDaily
