KUCHING, Jan 15: A mother mourns the loss her son who was supposed to have taken a ride back home with her but died in the recent tragic road accident on Jalan Stutong Baru.

In a Facebook post on Amazing Sarawak, it was said that the mother of one of the deceased had gone to pick up her sons from school that day.

But her eldest son said he wanted to take a ride with his classmate, a choice that would tragically cost him his life. While her younger son safely returned home with her, her eldest never made it back.

What should have been a joyful car ride for the four classmates who just received their RM150 school aid funds, ended in tragedy that day.

The horrific multi-vehicle road accident on Tuesday claimed the lives of five including two 16-year-olds who were reportedly friends of the 16-year-old driver that caused the accident.

According to the Facebook post by Amazing Sarawak, another person who died from the accident was said to have worked at Mas Cargo and was about to go back to work after lunch when he met misfortune.

The son of another victim, who worked at the Stutong Refrigeration Company, rushed to the hospital after receiving the tragic news, only to be informed that his father had already passed away.
