KUCHING, Aug 27: All travellers exiting Southern Region districts must now have the necessary police permits and negative Covid-19 test results verified by the Ministry of Health (KKM).

This is the latest standard operating procedure (SOP) imposed by State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) given the alarming level of Covid-19 caseloads in Southern districts namely Kuching, Lundu, Bau, Serian, Tebedu, Samarahan, Asajaya and Simunjan.

Appointments to be swabbed at health clinics can be made starting Monday (Aug 30) involving either test polymerase chain reaction (rT-PCR) or rapid test kit (RTK) antigen.

Phone numbers, operating hours, and addresses of the available health clinics in each district and sub-district can be found in the table below:

Meanwhile, SOPs on banning dine-ins, shortening business operating hours to 8pm, and implementation of a 10pm curfew in Southern districts have been extended for another week until Sept 5. — DayakDaily
