Narrow escape for two women in Jalan Airport, Miri accident

One of the victims is seen trapped inside the car while a Bomba officer prepares to use a tool to rescue her at Jalan Airport, Miri.

MIRI, Nov 12: Two female teenagers aged 18 and 19 were trapped inside their car at Jalan Airport here after an accident at 3.36am today.

According to the report by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Miri, the car that the two teenagers were in, was heading from the airport to the city prior to the accident.

Nine Bomba officers led by senior officer PBK Thomas Bigau had to use special tools to rescue the two teenagers.

After the rescue, an ambulance took the two teenagers to the hospital for further treatment.

The police and Civil Defence Force personnel also assisted in the rescue. — DayakDaily
