KUCHING, April 23: Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi has pledged to support SDGA with a RM20,000 grant for its future activities.

Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA) secretary-general Jordan Anthony Layan said Nanta revealed this during SDGA’s networking trip with KPDNHEP in Kuala Lumpur from April 21 to 22.

In a statement today, Jordan said Nanta was supportive of SDGA and commended the association’s efforts to expose young Dayaks to the franchise business and matters about job creation.

In Nanta’s speech, he said that young people need to explore different business models such as franchises as they can be lucrative, not to mention the strong support system in the form of Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PERNAS) and Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) to facilitate young entrepreneurs.

During the two-day trip, SDGA also engaged with MRANTI, Cradle Fund, Santan and WORQ to build a network for future collaborations with SDGA at Invent Space, Kuching. — DayakDaily
