Works minister assists crash victims near Selangau, urges motorists to prioritise safety

KUCHING, July 6: Works Minister and Kapit MP Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi and his team stopped to assist victims of a road accident near Selangau after completing a site inspection in the area today.

He said the incident occurred after the inspection when they came across a collision along a nearby road and immediately halted their journey to assess the situation and provide assistance.

“We stopped to check on the victims and ensure that necessary help could be given as quickly as possible,” he said in a Facebook post.

He added that the safety of victims and other road users remained the top priority while awaiting the arrival of medical personnel.

During the wait for emergency responders, he and his team assisted in calming the victims and their family members involved in the accident.

He also reminded road users to comply with traffic regulations and speed limits, stressing the importance of extra caution when driving on busy and high-risk routes.
