KUCHING, May 22: Muslims in the country will be celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri on Sunday (May 24).
During a live telecast on local television stations late Friday evening, the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad said the first day of Hari Raya will be celebrated on May 24.
“In adhering to the decree of His Majesty, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, following consent from the Malay Rulers, I hereby declare that the date for Aidil Fitri for all states in Malaysia is Sunday, May 24,2020,” he announced. —DayakDaily
