MUKAH, July 9: The weekend market, fruits market, multipurpose market and kuih-muih stalls at the wet market under Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM) will be closed for five days beginning today until July 13 to facilitate active case detection (ACD) and Covid-19 testing operations.

In a notice issued today, MDDM emphasised that all traders, hawkers and business operators in the locations are required to undergo Covid-19 swab test conducted by the Mukah Division Health Office.

Yesterday, they had to undergo a compulsory health screening held at the open space in front of Gerai Kopi Market Dana.

MDDM also advised the public not to loiter around the locations throughout the closure period.

The council will also carry out sanitising in the locations, while the public will be updated and informed if there is an extension to the closure.

MDDM reminded people to adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP) at all times. — DayakDaily
