KUCHING, Sept 16: Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) will conduct a roadshow in the whole of Sarawak to determine the party’s direction, which is expected to be carried out by the end of the year.
This was said by party president Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman after the Muda town hall session at Indah Cafe, Carpenter Street, today.
“Muda is a party that gives a lot of leeway and autonomy to Sabah and Sarawak to determine the best way forward.
“As party president, I must listen to the suggestions of what our members here have to say, and we will finalise it together,” he said.
The Muar MP elaborated that they would go to every district to listen and understand issues better before any decisions are made and hoped to carry out the roadshow nationwide.
Syed Saddiq emphasised that while he is here, it is essential to support Muda Sarawak.
“I want to ensure we move together as one family,” he said.
Meanwhile, on tonight’s Malaysia Day celebration at Stadium Perpaduan in Petra Jaya, Syed Saddiq said he missed Sarawak, which he came to see as ‘home’ in celebrating the day’s significance.
“Tonight, I will join the celebration at Stadium Perpaduan. I missed visiting Sarawak, so that is the main reason I am here, to be honest.
“It is a personal trip, and I told my friends from all political parties, including Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), that I wanted to come over to visit.
“I am in their territory for Malaysia Day to show that in the end, we can learn the successful model of unity, which is Sarawak,” he said. — DayakDaily
