KUCHING, July 22: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang committed a total of RM20,000 to the Sarawak Scouts Council food bank drive to ensure the continuation of the programme which aims to benefit the needy throughout the State.

According to Idris, who is also the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief and the Muara Tuang assemblyman, the food bank drive is the result of efforts by the council members, as well as the members of the public who contributed towards the cause.

“As a concerned state assemblyman and as the Sarawak Scouts Council deputy president, I would like to contribute RM20,000 to help the third and the following food bank programme,” he told reporters when attending the flagging-off of the Sarawak Scouts Association Food Bank Programme 2.0 convoy, held at the Sarawak Scouts Association headquarters in Jalan Batu Lintang, today.
