KUCHING, July 19: The Muara Tuang constituency First Response Team (FReT) delivered clean water to more than 20 villages in Muara Tuang since yesterday with the cooperation of Kuching Water Board (KWB) and contractors.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, the bulk delivery of water was conducted after the disruption of supply in the affected areas due to a burst in the main water pipe.

Muara Tuang Marqas operation chief Aziz Mohamad said the delivery of water had been proceeding non-stop since yesterday evening until today.

“Muara Tuang assemblyman Dato Idris Buang has mobilised the relevant parties to deliver the supply as soon as possible to ensure continuous supply and reduce the impact on the local residents affected,” he said.

Aziz added Idris understands the difficulties faced by local residents and greatly appreciates their patience.

“He will do his best to ensure that water is supplied to the residents in the affected areas,” he said. — DayakDaily
