MPP reminds assessment bill be paid by Nov 30

Affected residents hope the Padawan Municipal Council will take action to alleviate the flood menace at Jalan Saput and Jalan Quop.

KUCHING, Nov 24: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP)’s counters are open daily from Monday to Friday at 8am until 3pm including lunch hours to provide services to receive payment of the second half-year 2020 assessment bill.

MPP reminded property owners that the due date for the assessment bill payment has been extended to Nov 30.

“The extension was due to the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and the Covid-19 situation.

“A surcharge of one per cent per month or part thereof will be levied if payment of rates is made after Nov 30,” MPP reminded.

Payment of assessment rate bills can also be made at all the payment counters at the Service Sarawak Counters of Urban Transformation Centre (UTC), Kuching North City Commission (DBKU), Kuching South City Council (MBKS), Sesco, Kuching Water Board (KWB), Pos Malaysia Bhd and H&L Supermarket outlets.

Ratepayers can also pay online by accessing https://www.paybills.sarawak.gov.my.

Alternatively, payment can also be done using Sarawak Pay by scanning the QR Code printed on the assessment rate bill.

Ratepayers who are unsure of the amount of assessment rates they need to pay for the second half of 2020 or have not received their assessment rate bills or have misplaced their assessment rate bills can contact or visit MPP headquarters at Kota Padawan.

A copy of the bill can also be printed at UTC.
