MPP conducts anti-rabies operation on stray dogs

KUCHING, Aug 22: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) has caught 19 stray dogs during an anti-rabies operation yesterday as part of efforts to curb the spread of rabies infection in Sarawak.

MPP chairman and Batu Kitang assemblyman, Lo Khere Chiang said the dogs were caught at Taman Dusun Indah Sejijak and Sam San Kuet Bong Temple at Kota Sentosa.

“The council will not hesitate to catch dogs roaming the streets regardless of whether they are licensed or not,” he said in a posting in his Facebook today.


Lo said this was to prevent the spread of rabies infection and advised dog owners not let their dogs run loose on the streets.-DayakDaily
