KUCHING, May 3: The World Mission Society Church of God (ASEZ WAO) has recently been awarded a certification of appreciation by the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) for cleaning up Golden Beach, Trombol on Sunday (April 30).
MPP chairman Tan Kai was deeply grateful for the effort by ASEZ WAO youth, who collected 150 bags of trash in three hours during the beach cleaning activity.
Meanwhile, ASEZ WAO, in a statement today, pledged that they would continue to work with MPP to organise more beach cleaning events to save the environment.
ASEZ WAO is an international volunteer group consisting of young adult workers from 7,500 churches in 175 countries.
They practice love and volunteer services in their workplaces and communities, and strive for the sustainable development of the people as well as the Earth. — DayakDaily
