KUCHING, May 20: Special Assistant to Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii, Leslie Ting Xiang Zhi urged the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) to address the damaged Sebisak Road.

Ting, in a press statement today, said Sarawak Democratic Action Party (DAP) received complaints from local residents about the road and requested their assistance to highlight the situation.

“Nearly half of Sebisak Road, which is located next to the entrance of the Ministry of Education in Samarahan, has collapsed, endangering the safety of road users.

“I urge MPKS to send their people to solve it quickly to avoid an accident,” he said.

Ting noted the local residents also hoped that MPKS will quickly improve the development of Sebisak Road, which also leads to Ten-tri Badang.

According to him, the development of the said road is generally neglected as the road is small, and drivers need to be extra careful as the area is prone to accidents, especially when there is another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

“Drivers will have to find a place to stop, so that the opposite vehicle may pass; it is very inconvenient.

“In this case, I call on the MPKS to listen and quickly develop Sebisak Road in order to promote the economic and local development of the region, so that the development of Sentosa and Badah can be prosperous,” he added. — DayakDaily
