KUCHING, Oct 1: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Stakan branch chairman Dato Sim Kiang Chiok has assured the road woes in Kampung Batu Perak, Jalan Stakan here have been brought to the attention of the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS).
He said he and MPKS councillor Wilfred Yap, also Kota Sentosa assemblyman, had gone down to inspect the site.
Together with Yap, Sim himself will be assisting the village folks with regard to the issues.
Meanwhile, Sim praised Yap’s quick response in addressing the issue and the latter’s commitment to improving the well-being of the people.
“This new breed of leaders that have come up via GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak) is an inspiration for all aspiring leaders.
“I am very confident that with this positive attitude, GPS will continue to be the backbone of Sarawak politically,” said Sim in a statement today.
He also expressed confidence in other GPS leaders, namely Satok assemblyman Dato Ibrahim Baki and Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang.
“The biggest inspiration, of course, is YAB (Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri) Abang Johari (Tun Openg) and our party president YB Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, who is like a tireless dynamo,” he added. — DayakDaily
