KUCHING, July 18: Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) chairman Dato Peter Minos has reminded members of the Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Sheda) undertaking housing projects in the district to discuss key preliminary issues with MPKS.

In a statement today, Minos warned that failure to comply would result in developers being reprimanded and fined under relevant laws.

“MPKS will want to know and approve things like access roads to avoid damage to housing estate roads as well as residents’ properties.

“These are very important because, while we seek development, we do not want residents to be hurt and aggrieved by damaged housing roads and homes,” he said.

Minos emphasised that MPKS is business-friendly and open to hearing anything from Sheda, including complaints and contentious issues.

“MPKS must know Sheda and the housing industry’s problems and concerns in order to find amicable solutions,” he added. — DayakDaily
