MPKK issue discussed in PRS Women Wing’s Randau session at Pakan

KUCHING, Oct 5: Issue on the setting up of Village Community Management Council (MPKK) in Sarawak was the new added topic at the series of ‘Randau’ sessions held by Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Women Wing.

This topic was discussed in the latest exclusive Randau session held by PRS Central Women’s Wing at PRS Pakan Women Division at Dewan Masyarakat in Pakan this morning.

Other topics of discussion including the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) as well as Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s (GPS) objectives and plans.


PRS Pakan Women Division chairperson Cr Fitz Patrick revealed that the PRS women members in Pakan felt that the topics shared and discussed especially on GPS’ objectives and initiatives, MA63, Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) vs MPKK as well as various other current political issues were very relevant and apt.

“The discussions are a real eye-opener,” she said in a media release today.

Its Education Bureau chief Cr Misiah Abdullah added that the Randau session was one of PRS prime education programmes this year.

“This is our fourth Randau session for this year and we will continue to organise this programme until we have covered all areas especially PRS state constituencies,” she said.

“We have carried out post-mortem for our previous Randau sessions and we are so encouraged by the positive feedback from the participants,” she highlighted.

The ‘Randau’ session, which was attended by 150 people, was graced by PRS Women chief and political secretary to the Chief Minister, Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodie, who was also the lead speaker for the Randau session.

It was moderated by Cr Donna Petrus and the other panel speakers were Cr Roseline Neging and Cr Misiah Abdullah.— DayakDaily
