MIRI, Nov 27: A stretch of Jalan Pantai in Lutong is expected to experience heavier traffic from Nov 29 to 30 to accommodate preparations, logistics, and the hosting of a government official event.
The Miri City Council (MCC) has advised road users to plan their journeys in advance and appealed for public cooperation and patience during this period, acknowledging the potential inconvenience.
According to the Council in a statement, the anticipated congestion stems from the upcoming event at the Miri Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant project site.
To manage the situation, MCC has deployed traffic controllers to regulate vehicle flow and minimise disruptions along the affected route.
Traffic conditions are expected to return to normal by 1.30pm on Nov 30. — DayakDaily
