Motorcyclist perishes in Jalan Salim-Stabau crash

SIBU, July 20: A motorcyclist died after he collided head on with a four-wheel-drive vehicle along Jalan Salim-Stabau at about 7pm yesterday.

According to Sibu District deputy police chief, Supt Collin Babat, at the time, the victim, 33, was not wearing a helmet.

The deceased who was unemployed was heading towards the Durin Bridge along Jalan Salim-Stabau and had tried to overtake a car but ended up colliding with the four-wheel-drive vehicle which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist was killed at the scene.

The four-wheel-drive vehicle’s driver, 53, was injured during the accident and later admitted to a hospital for treatment. — DayakDaily
