SIBU, Oct 13: A man perished this afternoon after he crashed his motorcycle along Jalan Kemuyang here.
According to a report by Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Zone 4 chief and senior Bomba enforcer Wan Kamarudin Wan Ahmad, they received a call from Sibu Hospital ambulance services from the scene requesting for assistance to retrieve the accident victim at about 2.58pm.
It is understood the 37-year-old victim from Rumah Barnabas, Robat had crashed his motorcycle into the drain along the main road.
The Bomba team descended into the drain and managed to lift out the victim using a scoop stretcher. However, upon examination, Sibu hospital personnel found that the victim had passed away.
The deceased was then handed over to the Sibu police for further action. — DayakDaily
