Motorcyclist killed in collision with car in Lubok Antu

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

LUBOK ANTU, May 4: A fatal accident occurred at KM36 Jalan Lubok Antu/Sri Aman here involving a motorcycle and a car on May 2.

According to Lubok Antu District police chief DSP Victor Ripon, the accident occurred when the motorcyclist is believed to have lost control and collided with a car from the opposite direction.

“During the incident, the motorcycle was traveling from the direction of Lubok Antu towards Simpang Lubok Antu.


“On arrival at KM36 Jalan Lubok-Sri Aman, the motorcycle is believed to have lost control and entered the opposite lane to the right of the road, causing a collision with a car travelling in the opposite direction,” he said in a statement recently.

Victor further stated that as a result of the accident, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s body was then taken to Sri Aman General Hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car did not suffer any injuries.

The case is still under investigation under Section 41 (1) APJ 1987. — DayakDaily
