KUCHING, June 12: A motorcyclist was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and fell down at Km 81, along the Kuching to Sri Aman Road on Friday morning.
The incident was believed to have happened at 9 am when the 35-year-old deceased was travelling along the road.
“According to our investigation, the deceased was believed to be heading towards Serian from Sri Aman when the incident happened,” Head of Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said in a press release.
He said the deceased sustained serious head injuries due to the impact and was believed to have died at the scene.
The body was later sent to Serian Hospital while the deceased’s motorcycle was brought to the Serian police station.
Police are investigating this case under Sec 41(1) the Road Transport Act 1987. —DayakDaily
